Late Work and Absence Policy

Exempt Students : NONE

Late Work Policy

Assignments due at midnight will get an automatic extension until the first period bell the following day.

Assignments turned in one day late will lose 10%. Failure to appropriately mark submission forms as late will result in 20% off instead of 10%. If I did not get the submission (assignment) by the indicated time, it must be marked late.

Assignments turned in more than one day late can lose up to 50%.

Assignments not completed will receive no credit.

Absence Policy

Work assigned during an absence must be made up within the number of days absent plus 2. If not made up within the required time, it will result in the assignment being counted late. The late policy would apply.

The student is responsible to find out what was missed. Always check the web site and ask the instructor. Try to complete the assignment before returning. Failure to ask for assignments when absent and NOT completing the assignment within the required time because “you did not know” will result in the assignment being counted late. Check the schedule or archive for what was missed.

If an assignment is assigned on a day a student is present and due on a day the student is absence, the assignment is due the first day the student returns. Failure to have the assignment will result in the assignment being counted late.
