Lesson 4 is due the start of class on Monday

How to submit the sketch

1. Take a pic with the phone and email it to larryk@wcs.edu
2. Follow one of the videos based on phone type and email it to larryk@wcs.edu. This is great for getting work from home to your other classes.

Android device video
Iphone video

Added this to our troubleshooting doc:
I am telling my students to shut down their Chromebook every night. It will fix a lot of issues that students are having. I think it would be beneficial if we all tell students this.

Info from Michael and Gini😊
If you have students that have a black screen or a camera issue most likely it is because they need to restart their computer
Or
less likely it is internet issues the student is having at home.  Since audio files are smaller that will still send even when the video will not.

Lesson 2 Part 9 Question - 3rd Period (blank is a 5)

score

Responses 3rd Period

0 Because it has to catch the consumers eyes or attention.
Element IDs need meaningful names so you can better navigate your work.
So that if you need to change something, it is a lot easier to find which item you need to change if you have meaningful names.
It is important for them to have meaningful descriptions so you know the function of each element.
4 You can easily tell the difference between separate parts.
It is important that element IDs have meaningful name so you know which label you are coding. If there are 2 buttons, you need to know which button does what, and in order to make that process easier, IDs have to have meaningful names.
0 It shouldn't confuse people when they use an app.
Element IDs need meaningful names in order for the programmer to keep track of what goes with what. Without a meaningful title, it may be difficult to find the correct button.
It allows  the coder to sort information easier and it tells the coder what the element does/is.
It allows you to know exactly which component you are working on at the time. Also, it allows you to easily have names for each component when you need to give them commands with code.
It is important for element IDs to have meaningful names because it is easy to understand them and not be confused.
so that you can quickly and easily find them when editing and revising your work. also so you don't get confused as to what each element is when making your app.
It is important so that they are easy to be recognized and their purpose is obvious.
So you can easily identify them in the code if a change is ever needed.
4 so you know what they do and can find it easily
The meaningful id names helps describe the function of each element.
4 So that you don't confuse them.
Element IDs need to have meaningful names to keep straight of all of the items on a website. It is important for origination and understanding the different elements within an application.
It is important for elements to have meaningful names because you want the name to define the structure and meaning of whatever element you are uploading.

Responses 4th Period

4 To know their purpose
4 In order to differentiate each of them keeping it organized
It is important for element IDs to have meaningful names so you understand what the element ID does.
It is important for element IDs to have meaningful names because it helps you keep track of what's on your screen and what you are manipulating.
It is much easier to edit and tweak your project if every element has a meaningful name, since it makes it easier to understand which element is which.
0 Because they get the potential app owners attention to determine if they decide to download it or not.
It is important for element IDs to have meaningful names so we can easily find which place is where we need to look for it.
3 So that the buttons actually do something instead of just being image1.
That way it is easier to figure out where everything is when u need to edit something. Also, element IDs to have meaningful names because they basically translate the code into English in which the coders understand what that certain was for.
It is important for elements IDs to have meaningful names because you need to differentiate between different elements.
So you can easily understand what each element does.
It is important so there will be less confusion. Especially when debugging and going back through the code if it is organized and everything is identifiable- debugging is easier and add/changing code is easier too.
It is important for element IDs to have meaningful names as when they do they can be easily identified/found.
4 so that when someone sees it, they know exactly what it is used for.
0 It allows the user to know the function of that element.
3 Easier to identify and place
By using meaningful names, you know exactly what the element does and you can easily reference the element.
When you have multiple images you will probably forget which number is paired with what Image. If you name the image what it looks like, then you know what the image is only by looking at the ID
It is important because you need to know which element on your app that you are controlling and if you give them meaningful names it will be much easier to figure out what you are controlling.
It is important because it makes it much more easier for elements to be reused when needed. In addition, its a way to stay organized.
It is important to have meaningful names for element IDs because without some of the same elements might have the same names which would get confusing. It would also be very easy to mess up and make changes to the wrong thing (which I did multiple times).

Lesson 2 Part 9 Question - 6th Period (blank is a 5)

Responses 6th Period

3 It is important because when one programs an app, elements will be controlled by using its id.
2 So you know what to make its function.
3 For coding, each element on the screen will be controlled using its id.
4 It makes the app more organized and reduces development time.
Element IDs need meaningful names because when you have a lot of icons, buttons, text boxes... etc, it can be easy to loose track of what you need to place or modify.
0 to catch the attention of people scrolling through and getting on it, because most likely if it has a boring name no one will go on it.
Its important for label element IDs meaningful names,so you can go back and access them easily without being confused with all the similar names.
3 So that you can easily program what they do
3 So that you know what is what
So you can easily tell what ID goes with what feature.
So that when you or someone else reads your program they can be able to easily edit it and know which element the editing
4 so you will know what you want to know what you want to use in your app
4 It will male it much easier to navigate throughout your process.
To help explain their function.
It is important because you need to know what is what instead of having elements listed by numbers. It is easier to search for something like a specific button with its function named in it.
If problems in your code arise, you will be able to find out what element is causing the problem more efficiently than with unnamed sprites.
so that when editing, you know exactly what and where you are editing
